Beauty Blog: Skincare Haul

Hi Lovelies,

I’m kind of lazy when it comes to skin care. I mean, yeah I use a face wash and moisturiser every morning, but that’s where it stops. In the spirit of “starting the year off right”, I ordered a couple of products from The Ordinary. I’ve heard a bunch of good things about it, and after trying it once, I figured: why not try it for myself?

First of all: the sheer amount of products available is overwhelming. It’s VERY easy to fill your shopping cart with 20 different things, only to realise that maybe you don’t need anti-ageing oils yet. Maybe. I am approaching 25. Might have to go back to the web shop.

Anyway, I figured I’d start with a few basics, to keep my skincare routine manageable and under 5 minutes. I settled for a primer, moisturiser, a caffeine solution and hyaluronic acid.

I love the minimalist packaging. I’m always a fan of keeping the packaging of my products (don’t ask me why, I’m just weird), and these definitely fit my current preferred aesthetic. Which reminds me: I should really find a way to nicely display my beauty products. I’ll keep you updated on what I come up with.

Back to the products. LOVE. Absolutely love them. My face is all glowy after using the oils and moisturiser. I keep touching my cheeks because they’re so soft. Also, the bottles looks so cute, I’m obsessed:

The primer is great too. It leaves you with such a smooth surface to apply foundation. Can definitely recommend it if you’re still looking for a good primer.

Now that I’ve tried a couple of The Ordinary’s products, I’m definitely excited to try more. And as it happens, my birthday is coming up. Soon. So if anyone still needs an idea for a present…
